How to fix an MTK Android phone that wont come on after been interrupted by SP Flash tool, usb not recognized

This guide is for MTK devices like Tecno, Gionee, Micromax, Infinix, Opsson, etc

If you dont know how to flash files using SP flash tool, follow this guide @ how-to-flash-mediatek-stock-roms-with.html

If you wish to do a read back / ROM Backup using Miracle Box, follow this guide @ how-to-backup-mediatek-stock-roms-with.html

What you should know about SP flash tool is that you shouldn't interrupt a flash or read back process. If you do, the phone will go off and not come on at all. You might get the "USB device not recognized" error on further flashing attempts. If somehow, the process got interrupted and you now have a totally dead phone on your hands, don't panic. All you need to do is connect the phone to a computer (via a USB cord) or power source and leave it to charge for some time. It could take up to two hours but once the phone is revived, your battery could read as low as 1% . just leave it to keep charging before powering it up.

Tips to speed things up

* Remove the battery > Connect the phone to a charger without battery inside > Slot in the battery while the phone is still connected to the charger
* You could keep pressing the Volume up + Power button while charging
* You could remove and boost the battery using a desktop / external charger then resume internal charging.
* Uninstall then re-install MTK preloader vcom drivers using this guide @ how-to-manually-install-Mediatek & spreadtrum.html Credits: Team Hovatek

How to fix a totally dead MTK phone; won't come on, charge or show any sign of life

* Note: This procedure is the same for all MTK Android phones (e.g Tecno, Gionee, Infinix, Opsson, Innjoo, TLC, Lead1 etc) but the backup files to be used differ

If you accidentally bricked your MTK phone through whatever means then see:
How to Unbrick / fix a bricked Mediatek phone using wiselink
How to Unbrick / fix a bricked Mediatek phone using sp flashtool

Some people; however, attempt unbricking / fixing their bricked MTK phones using either the wrong procedure or OS files. As a result, their devices get worse. The phones enter into a higher level of unbricking whereby, they don't even boot or charge any more, just dead. Even pressing the power button would have no effect in such a scenario. What has happened is called a corrupted or missing Preloader (preloader.bin).
We wont go into details about the function of the Preloader but one function - which you must've figured out by now - is that it helps make your MTK phone boot. To fix the problem of a Corrupted / missing Preloader, you'll need the following:

Tools needed

* Download SP Flash Tool
* PC
* USB Cord
* If you have access to a working phone of the same model then follow this guide @ how-to-backup-mediatek-stock-roms-with.html to make an MTK backup which should contain Preloader.bin and all other files you'll need
* If you don't have access to a working phone of the same model then download an MTK backup for your phone model @:

FIRMWARE'S

Procedure

* Using SP Flash Tool, flash the preloader.bin first (see SP Flash tool guide @ how-to-flash-mediatek-stock-roms-with Sp flashtool.html ).
* If flashing was successful then your phone should at least be able to vibrate when you press the power button or boot if the correct files are present on your phone; else, flash other necessary files to make the phone boot up and start working normally again. Credits: Team Hovatek

    How to remove FRP Lock /Google Account Protection on spreadtrum devices like itel,opsson, etc with 2016 security patch

    Factory Reset protection is the new security google added to android lollipop. When you reset the device from recovery menu, FRP switch is tripped which will ask the user to input the Google account that was previously used on the device. Even though this was made for security reasons, we sometimes forget the account details that was on the device before reset so stuck on input Google account details.

    Some weeks ago I shared a method on how to bypass Factory Reset Protection (FRP) on SPD devices. That method would work if the phone is not running on the 2016 security patch. The following method I'm sharing now will walk you through on how to bypass frp on devices with 2016 security patch.

    The method is almost similar like the previous one I shared but just a change of app used. We will be using Quick Shortcut Maker apk this time around.

    Note
    This method can also work on some other devices

    Make sure device have at least 30% battery life
    Do this at your own risk

    Download Quick Shortcut  Maker app from here

    Insert SIM card into phone and boot it up
    Call the number inside the phone
    Answer the call by swiping up to message icon
    Select Write your own message from the pop up

    It will now take you to messaging interface
    Now tap the Call icon found near the number you used in calling
    It will take you to dialer interface
    Click on contacts icon (head near call button)

    Now select any contact
    Click on the menu icon (3 dots) at the top right and select Share

    Select Xender from the list of apps that popup
    Connect device to PC and transfer Quick Shortcut Maker app to phone (you can also send it using Xender)
    Under Xender, swipe to files tab, then navigate, locate an install Quick Shortcut  Maker app
    Launch it after installation is complete.

    After launching Quick Shortcut, you will see a bunch of settings
    Type in Google Account in the Search BarSelect Google Account Manager from the listUnder Google Account Manger, scroll down and select the option with Type Email and Password Now Tap Type to launch it

    You will now see Re-type password page
    Tap the 3 dots at top right and select Browser Sign-in
    Tap OK and sign in your Account (Connect device to a WiFi network)
    After a successful Sign-in, you will be faced with Quick Shortcut app interface

    Reboot the phone and set it up normally.

    Note
    If you are doing this for somebody, after the bypass, go and do a factory reset from settings menu (Backup and Reset option) so as to clear your account from the device.
